What We Do
From a quick wash after a weekend on the water to a full oxidation correction on a neglected hull, Deadrise Detail handles it all across Virginia Beach and Hampton Roads. We're mobile, with no hauling and no dropping off. We come to your dock at Lynnhaven, Rudee Inlet, East Beach, or wherever you keep her.
Our Complete Package
Ceramic coating only holds up when it's applied over a properly corrected hull, so we don't sell it as a bolt-on. This package pairs a full correction, Revival or Overhaul level depending on condition, with a professional-grade ceramic system applied right after. The correction gives the ceramic something to actually bond to, and the ceramic protects the correction from undoing itself the first hard season on the water.
Every hull is different, and size, condition, and coverage all factor into the job. That's why it's quoted custom, every time, after we see the vessel in person or walk through it with you on a consultation call.
Our Work
Every job tells a story. Oxidized gelcoat brought back to a mirror finish, hulls protected for the season, owners who trust us to come back every month. Here's a look at some of our recent work around Hampton Roads.
Found dockside at Norfolk Naval Marina. Full Deadrise Revival correction followed by a ceramic coating application to lock in the shine and protect against the next season of saltwater and sun.
A full Deadrise Overhaul on a hull that hadn't seen correction in years. Heavy compound, medium compound, and polish brought the gelcoat back, finished with a ceramic coating on the hull for long-term protection.
Top-to-bottom correction on this center console. Heavy oxidation removed, gelcoat restored to a deep, glassy finish from bow to stern.

Book Your DetailWho We Are
Deadrise Detail was built on the same values that define the Hampton Roads waterfront: hard work, attention to detail, and pride in the craft.
We're not a franchise. We're not a side hustle. We're a local, veteran-owned business that takes your boat as seriously as you do. Every job gets our full attention, every time.
The name says it all. A deadrise hull is a Chesapeake Bay original: functional, tough, built for these waters. So are we.
Our Standard
We operate on the Chesapeake Bay watershed. That means every product we use meets a higher standard, not just for your boat, but for the water it floats on.
We use only biodegradable, phosphate-free, low-VOC marine products that are safe for you, your crew, and the Bay. No petroleum distillates. No harsh solvents. No compromises.
"Clean boats, clean water."
This isn't a marketing angle. It's how we operate. Ask us about our product lineup on any job.
